Racing fuels: methanol, nitromethane and custom blends
High-performance blending for motorsport, developed and handled within an ADM-authorised tax warehouse. A specialisation born from the expertise of a full-range energy and petrochemical operator, active since 1997 in Parona (Pavia).
Introduction
P.S.P. Passerini Special Products formulates racing fuels for professional teams, manufacturers and importers, starting from the technical specifications of each discipline and each racing regulation. Racing represents the leading edge of our blending capabilities: the same formulation precision and the same documentary rigour that we apply across our entire range of energy and petrochemical products.
Everything revolves around a single asset: the ADM-authorised tax warehouse. This means that production, blending, storage and handling take place within a controlled perimeter, where every operation is documented in accordance with ADM obligations.
Preliminary notice: racing fuels and their components, including methanol and nitromethane, are products reserved exclusively for professional operators (B2B). Some components fall under the European regulation on precursors (Reg. UE 2019/1148) and cannot be sold to private individuals.
Our racing range
Methanol-based fuels. The base for high-performance engines. Methanol is a special fuel subject to full excise duty, not a biofuel: we treat it as an energy product under fiscal regime, with the same documentary rigour as the other fuels in the warehouse.
Nitromethane and power boosters. Components for power increase, dosed according to the category and race regulations, with batch quality control. As the most sensitive components under the European explosives-precursors regulation (EU Reg. 2019/1148), they are reserved for professional operators only.
Oxygenated blends and high-octane bases. High-octane formulations for the needs of the various disciplines, calibrated to the engine and the regulations.
Racing oils and additives. Dedicated lubricants and additives, complementary to the fuel and selected for the application.
Custom blends. Made-to-measure mixtures, developed from your specifications and calibrated to the discipline and engine, with batch-by-batch quality control (ISO 9001) and full confidentiality on recipes.
From formula to customs, a single point of contact
We develop the formulation to your technical specifications, with full confidentiality on recipes, then we manage storage and shipping in-house. Your bespoke racing fuels are PSP-branded products: formulated and guaranteed by us. If, on the other hand, you have products of your own to store and handle, we also operate as a third-party warehouse keeper, with ownership and responsibility always kept distinct (see the ADM-authorised third-party tax warehouse).
Operating as an ADM-authorised warehouse keeper, we manage movement under duty suspension via EMCS, issuing e-AD and e-DAS, and we handle on your behalf the customs and excise obligations towards Italy, the European Union and non-EU countries: for goods originating from non-EU countries we take care of full customs clearance (clearance, duties and payment of excise).
The benefit for you: a single point of contact that follows the product from formula to customs, with no handovers between different suppliers. Under duty suspension you do not tie up capital in taxes until release for consumption: excise duty accrues when the product leaves the regime, not when it enters the warehouse.
